Question For Skinautique Or Anyone Else That Can Help

I am putting a new amp in my SV-211 and was wondering if it would be safe to mount it in the same manner as the small one mounted at the factory. I don't want to run a screw thru the hull. This area looks like an inner wall with foam in between, and if so I can screw the amp down like the other one is but I want to be sure. Any help would be welcome.

    FatBoy,

Your better off gluing a piece of wood to the carpet/or fiberglass and then mounting the amp to the wood...I should know, as we drilled through the hull like a couple of Jack-A*S's about two weeks ago. Don't be that guy...you'd be surprised how short the distance is between the inner wall and the outer portion of the hull.

You can do it but be careful of the screw size you use. I am not sure of the screw size off the top of my head. I have seen plenty of amps mounted there though.

Thanks for the advise. Just to be on the safe side I cut a pc. of 1/2 incm highfax and glued it to the carpet. I then fastened the amp to that.
