    Gain adjustment for polk momos

For those of you who have an amp hooked into your 'installed at the factory" polk momo's, What are you putting your gains/crossovers at on your amps that are pushing the polks? I have 4 polk momos powered by a 400 rms amp, with one speak on each channel. I have a sub connected to another amp, so need to adjust the polks so that they are not getting pounded to **** with any lows. Do i need to put 2 speakers on each channel so they will get 50 watts rms instead of 100 watts rms? Seems they might be a little over powered being one on each channel.

RE: Gain adjustment for polk momos

are these the latest model momo's or the older ones?
    i'm assuming they are 6.5's?
either way, 100w each at 4ohms is just fine. the older series is rated for 80w rms, and the newer ones are rated for 125w rms ( both at 4ohms of resistance)

i'm not sure about the gain, but i think you'll be alright at around 90hz........

I have a 900.4 on mine. The rear speakers at 2 ohm and the bow at 4ohm. With that amp the rears are seeing around 200 wats each so I have mine crossed over around 125htz
