    What would sound better...?

All considering a 600 watt amp, seperate 600 watt amp running an infinity 10" sub. 2 interior MB Quart 6.5's currently inside the boat. Looking for something that will sound good riding and chilling out with my girls.

    1. 4 tower can loaded with MB Quart DKG116's - 150 watts each
    2. 2 Evid 6.2's and 2 tower can's loaded with MB Quart's
    3. 2 Evid 6.2's by themselves and an extra wake rack...

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Travis

I had 2 - 6.5 Quart's in my tower and I wasn't that impressed with them at all. I reccommend running that 600 watt amp to two wetsounds 485s or one 485 and two pro 80's.

I have a four titan alpha 1's (MB Quart 6.5's) on my tower with a jl audio 300/4 powering them and they rock. You can make almost any speaker sound good if you put a good clean high power amp on them. IMO JL has some of the best sound quality amps on the market. I am not familiar with Evid, so I can't be any help there, sorry. What brand 600 watt amp are you planning on using?

I have the JL in my truck with the kicker L7, and custom box, and it's an awesome amp... unfortunately the boat gets the leftover's for now, so it's the crappy pioneer 600x4 rms for her... I think i've got my priorities all wrong!!! hahaha. I just need to get something in there to get started and i'll upgrade parts as I go. This summer will be the tower, speakers, rack amps and sub, which will be a good start.

I'm getting the Knight tower and laguna racks from Rio at Boss Wake (unless someone has another suggestion?) along with 4 cans loaded with the mb quart's, with the interior 6.5"s all run off the pioneer, then a dedicated smaller amp running the infinity sub. I wish I could afford the Wetsounds right now, but... I'm onna budget... I've got an older 2001 ('89), but it's what I have for now, certainly not frontin' like I'm a millionaire, but it's paid for, so that's a start. I hope the alternator will keep up! I think it's just the 65 amp...

Evids alone. You won't even hear the MB Quarts next to the Evids, buy the rack.

MB Quarts are nice speakers, I run them in my car and truck, but they are not right for a boat, and definately not for a tower. If you really want to do cans on a tower stick with something bright like Polk db675's or Infinity's. If you do lots of cove listening while floating the MB Quarts are not a bad call for inside the boat. If most of your listening is while you are boarding stick with something bright in the boat as well.
