I'm installing a stereo on my '00 ski (boat did not come with one and original owner did not install one). I took the driver's console off and side panel and noticed three wires (purple, black, and yellow i believe) that were not hooked up to anything coming off the side panel harness plug. Does anyone know if these wires are the ground, constant power source, and ignition-on wires? If so, does anyone know which color is what before I would go and test them? Thanks in advance for any help!

RE: Steroe Install Question
I thought purple is the ignition wire on the Nautiques? So the switched 12V.
I'm not 100% on this, so measure it with a Voltmeter and you know it for sure.230 with ZR6 running on propane

RE: Steroe Install Question
Thanks for the info. I will chck those out to make sure. I misspoke about the colors though, I have a blue, black, and yellow wire. I was out of town when I wrote the original post and was thinking it was purple.

RE: Steroe Install Question
In that case I would guess the blue is keyed hot.
If you are planning on running amps I would pull the deck constant hot (yellow) and ground off the amplifier power distribution blocks. This will minimize the engine noise that commonly results from difference in voltage from using different power sources.
