1993 Ski

Just brought home my 93 ski yesterday. It has never had a stereo. I am not looking for anything crazy. Just 4 5's and maybe 1 sub.

Any ideas how or where I should mount the head unit?

Do the side panels already have the speaker cutouts in them?

iirc 93's originally mounted the head unit in the glove box, which is a lousy spot unless you get a remote. i think the speaker cutouts should already be cut.

I just redid the stereo in my 92. Hung the head unit under the steering wheel in a plastic case i bought at bass pro for $12. It had been hung there years ago by a previous owner and worked well until the thieves decided to uninstall it for me, so I put it back in the same location, no probs.
