    Wetsounds 3-Some speaker orientation question

Does anybody have any pictures of a Wetsounds speakers (or NVS or any others for that matter) mounted above the tower facing back rather than below the tower facing back, hopefully on a new titan tower? Any drawback associated with this, possibly in taking the tower down? What about bimini clearances with speaker cut-outs? I will be mounting a 3-some set on a 210 Titan Tower, with an Ameritec bimini. I'm already expecting to have to design and fab a spreader bracket to mount the Pro 485 to the correct cut-out locations on the Amer. bimini. Just wondering if the speakers above might create any problems (road clearance, rope interference, etc.)

You will have issues with folding the tower as well as with the rope - mount them under the tower and avoid the problems

ya mount em under. if they won't fit you'll be way happier with the look of pro 80's and pro 60's together. these things are big. you can always cut the bimini poles down a little.

3-some is a Pro-485 and two Pro 80's. No Pro 60's in the equation. Bimini is an over the top Ameritec bimini. Already own everything.

just put em on normal. unless you fill the bottom with speakers there's no reason to add them to the top

I just installed two 485's on my 210 with Titan Tower yesterday. I installed mine normally and they rest on the seats when folded down (i use a towel to protect seat). Even if you mounted them upside down, it should still fold down the same without hitting anything. You will definitely have to cut holes in your bimini and I'm not sure how you plan on mounting the 485 upside down. Hang height on the 485 is only 11" and the Pro 80's are 13"!

A guy I know has the same boat/Titan tower with 2 Pro 80's and 2 Pro 60's and it feels very awkward because their is a 3" height difference between the two and you have to duck under each differently..

In my opinion speakers on top look pretty bad. Here is one hideous example...
