Where to find speakers cans for COMPONENT speakers??

Cant find them. It seems everyone has them for Coaxils but not Component (woofer/ tweeter seperate).

Try Boss Wake. I just got a pair from them (B-70's I believe) and they're great. Call Rio at 800.405.WAKE or email Rio@bosswake.com and they'll take care of you. They machine everything in house and provide top notch service. The can's I got fit up to 8" Speakers, but I put Polk DB675's (6.75") and they worked fine, and have a seperate tweeter spot in there. By the way, seperate's sound so much better, I wish I had put them in there, but I went a little crazy and put the coaxial's and tweets in there. Kind of self defeating, but eh... you know..

Ummmm... We're just talking about speaker CANS right? It really depends what you load them with and what you push them with. I think you certainly could. The problem, as I think many here will tell you, is that, even seperated 6.5's and tweeters are made for a closed environment, not a outdoor, windy noisy setting. I can hear mine, but it's not pounding. Now I have a pro audio set up at home and I can hear that for miles. Different drivers on there. You will never experience wetsounds like sound out of 6.5's and tweeters like you will with titanium drivers, etc., but I can't really fit my 9000 watt QSC PLX's on boat, or handle the power that they draw. This is my compromise. It works well for me. I think the cans are great and can hold an 8". I would get 4, and get 8" drivers in there and you should hear them pretty well. my .02's
