Noise from the WS 420

Has anyone had a noise problem with the WS420 eq? I overheard a conversation discussing this problem.

Zero noise from mine, works perfectly, great addition to the stereo system.

Has anyone tried to mounting the WS 420 in the radio housing box? Will it fit in a half-din sleeve? I am thinking about buying a new head unit (1-din) and mounting the 420 above it using a car radio kit, but I'm not sure if the 420 is too wide for it.

Also, do you have to use the volume knob on the 420, or can you just turn it all the way up and use your factory remote/radio?

You can use your stereo volume, Ipod volume, or the WS-420 volume. I use them interchangeably depending on the configuration I am running.
