    Subwoofer vents?

Does anyone have any good ideas for venting the area where the subs are placed in a new 210? I don't have the flip door on the side and it is really trapping most of the bass. I am thinking about installing a fake heater hose under the seat to match the others, but I'm not sure if that will be enough vent. Does anyone make a vent kit for the side door or below the seats?

    RE: Subwoofer vents?

I know that Earmark Car Audio had built some nice vents for a 220 install not too long ago, so you may check with them to see if they have anything for the 210; I seem to recall them saying they sell the vents. Here's the link to the 220 install....about half way down are the pictures, so maybe that'll give you some ideas.

It's common. Fake heater, fake speaker, decorative grill, all options work.

I put sub under driver side in a sidefire box and it sounded so much better than on the passenger side. Saved me money for not having to create vents

Team Neptunes, do you have any other install pics? The area i have to work with is all fiberglass, and I don't have a cooler door either.

I was wondering if anyone ever got in contact with earmark about that cooler door replacement grill for the 220 sub location. If so how were they to deal with and how much did it cost. Thanks in advance.---K.B.

Yep...ordered one for my 220. Susan from Earmark was very nice and easy to deal with. It was 260 shipped. Had it in just over a week.

I had one made at a local plastics fabricator that looks identical to the one Earmark makes. It cost me $130 with tax and it works perfect. You can hear the sub very well.

Here is my solution to the original problem of trapped bass. It's by no means a professional install, but i only had to spend $30 for the vents and dynamat. I just cut 4 holes with a hole saw and I'm finally boomin. It was an inexpensive and easy way to make your system sound a lot better. After covering it up with a few koozies, you can't even tell its there.
