So, heres what I was throwing around a little bit. Changing out my current stock system on my '06 220.
1 - RE Audio XXX12D2

1 - Kicker ZX2500.1

(2) - NVS Prodigy Tower Speakers
1 - Kicker ZX850.4

I will be keeping my stock Clarion amplifiers to power my the stock Polk Audio speakers in the boat. The Clarion 480 will power 4 of my speakers, and the Clarion 280 will power the two speakers in the bow.
So we're looking at 2500 + 850 + 480 + 280 = 4110 Watts
The subwoofer probably won't be receiving ALL 2500 watts, but probably close to it. My concern is, I'll have to change my alternator out after a year of frying it. Would adding an extra blue top Optima solve this problem? At least to run the subwoofer? Or, am I just begging for disaster.
The 2500 watt Kicker is just 1000 watts more than I was originally planning on running. I was thinking of going with a 1500.1 Kicker to run a different sub with a lower power rating. The RE Audio XXX has just received so many good reviews, really considering dishing out the extra $ for it. Opinions would be appreciated! Thanks!
