Agree with OHLNautique, the stereo should be connected to only 1 battery bank, so when you are out with the stereo cranked, you don't run down your starting battery and get stranded. With the stereo cranked, lights on, operating the pumps for ballast, etc... the batteries can quickly become drained.

Depending on what type of battery you have and what type of amps, etc. they can drain quicker than you think, again, it all depends. A more efficient amp will draw less juice. I would definately agree to have them seperated, otherwise, what's the point? Perfect advice on the isolator. Make sure when the engine's running you charge both.Travis Fling
