How did you mount it? I've seen it mounted under the steering wheel, but it doesnt seem to have any brackets. I was thinking professional strength velcro, but I'm certain that it would come undone over time. Any ideas?

Mine came with two small angle brackets, I did not use them. I bent up some aluminum flat plate to make a backup bracket for mine. I would suggest you bend up a U support, use stainless hose clamps to attach it to the steering rack. You might need to add some rubber hose between the clamp and the rack. Velcro will not work, tie wraps will hold for a while. Boats take a beating, it needs a strong mount.

Agreed. That looks great there.
I used the little angle brackets and mounted mine under the dash. I don't have any pictures, but it looks pretty good (not as good as Mikeski's).I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I just checked the placement of where Mikeski put his WS-420 and it must work perfectly for the 210. It doesn't however work so well for the 220. It seems theres a great deal of space for that console to accomodate the 7 inch width of the unit. Mine however only allows about 6. So no dice. I wish it would work though, because theres a good foot of working space behind that console.

I have a 211, there is plenty of depth, maybe 12" behind that plate.
The PA mic is plugged straight in and the mic just drops in the storage pocket below the ballast gauges.
I used a dremel, file, and sandpaper to cut it the plate to fit the EQ, it's not that hard just take your time. The faceplate of the 420 is a bit bigger than the body so it covers any minor error. My previous soundstream EQ was flush, the hole had to be perfect for it. One trick is to use black electrical tape to tape around the backside to keep light from coming in if there is any gap.
20 years ago I was installing custom decks in new high dollar Porsche's, Ferrari's, and Auston Martin's. I hated working on the wood dashes from Rolls', Mercedes, and Jags. Learned a few tricks along the way...
