    Subwoofer Box Material...

What material would you guys recommend for the sub box to be made out of. Simple MDF do the trick? Or do I need to opt for something way more waterproof. Anyone heard of a "waterproof MDF"? Some guys rhinoline the exterior of the box, while others use a fiberglass resin. Ideas?

3/4" or 1" MDF and some fiberglass resin to waterproof it. I actually added some fiberglass weave to mine to strenghten it, but I don't think it was required. I don't really see the point in Rhino lining a sub enclosure unless you just happen to get a buddy deal and don't want to carpet it.

For whatever reason I just think the Rhino line is easier. you just paint it on there and there you go. I guess I've never used resin before, but it seems sticky... I guess that's another skill I need to learn.
