My boat has a dual battery Perko switch. 1, 2, all, and off. Does anyone know if three batteries can be hooked up to it? One on one input and two on the other. Basically two amp batteries isolated from the starter battery.

Toss that switch...
And put in either a BEP voltage sensitive relay, or a Blue Seas Systems dual circuit system
The benefit is, when you start the engine, the batteries are isolated, so you dont fry your electronics. Once the start battery is charged, the relay closes, and both batteries get charged.
When you turn off the ignition, the batteries are separated.
You can still run the amp from the start battery, or run the engine off the house (stereo) battery.
BSS7650 or BEP716SQ100AVSR
But, to answer your question, yes, you can. It will take longer to charge, especially with the factory 55A alternator... When you are at the dock, or at home, you should put the boat on a charger, to make sure that the batteries are charged propertly, and fully.

RE: Toss that switch...
My boat has three batteries on a perko. 2 betteries are for the stereo and peripherals and are on "number 1" on the Perko. Number 2 is for my cranking battery. I'm sorry I can't tell you more, as I'm not good with electrical, and someone else installed it. However, it can be done. BKH2001 Super Air

Is the amp on new Nautiques really only 55 amps?
And yes, adding a third battery is as simple as connecting the positive and negatives of the two together.
