Gains- Test tone CD??? Ack, just use a clean vocal track, this stuff's not rocket science. If it doesn't go loud enough, or if there is hissing, turn one up, turn one down. You can also download bass mechanic tones from i-tunes.

If you match your high and low pass at the same point there will be a 3db bump at that frequency... I think? I find mine sounds better with the gap.

Mikeski - That makes good sense with the gap in frequencies since the crossover point on the amp is where the frequency starts to drop off, not an end point. I'll bite on that. I'll have to give that a whirl on mine tonight. I know the tones are a pain, but I just hate blowing components. If you use the milliameter and tone cd it really doesn't take too long. Just put the cd in, put the milliameter on the amp, turn it up til you hit your magic number, rinse and repeat. I just get a little too excited when a great song comes on and like to crank it. Just makes me feel better knowing I can't blow something.
