RE: HELP:amp mounting
Did they pay to fix the boat??? I pulled back the carpet and used gorilla glue to secure some half inch plywood that I coated in fiber glass resin to the wall. For extra support. I also have a sante with the factory amp set up so I also used those planks to mount to. I used a beauty board/ amp rack to mount every think on. Here is a link. I have more construction pics if you want to see them pm me.http://planetnautique.com/index.php?...ic&t=11627

RE: HELP:amp mounting
any knowledgeable information about this will be appreciated and no, i won't hold you responsible for anything. the amp is a wet sounds syn6 located to the left of the factory clarion 4ch closer to the stern of the boat on that port wall

RE: HELP:amp mounting
You are going to need to mount some sort of backing - the hull is in no way thick enough to mount an amp to (except for the thick factory section used by the factory amps). I used treated firing strips and attached them to the hull under carpet. Somewhere there was a member that used some really nice standoff screw insert type items - cannot find the thread though.2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

RE: HELP:amp mounting
thanks for the advice. for ease of install and peace of mind I am going to gorilla glue a piece of starboard to the wall and then mount the amp to that. whenever i change out my in boat amps(2) and sub amp with wetsounds i'm going to move my sub to the driver's side and just have a vertical or maybe staggered rack built on the floor. it involves an 8 hour drive to orlando with the boat so it won't be for a while, thanks again. that supersport install is sick.
