I've lost my handheld remote for the CMD5. If anyone has one they would like to part with, let me know. Or better yet, clue me into where to purchase a replacement. Clarion has nothing on their website.

RE: hand held remote
The Clarion remote is IR and I found it useless. I have one if anyone wants it, just pay the shipping. I also have a CeNet Sirius adapter for the CMD5 that I took out of my Martinique I am selling. I just put an Alpine in my 226 and it has a RF remote that floats and is waterproof and will work from 100 ft. Its much better than the Clarion IR remote.2012 Team Ski Nautique ZR409

Just some general Clarion info, infrared washes out in sunlight and is pretty much useless during daylight hours, but it works fine in the evening.
The Clarion IR remote is designed for use in the cabin of crusiers, particularly important when the A/V soundtrack is fed into the Clarion auxillary input.
For towboats we use the radio frequency keyfob remote and receiver built for Clarions (CMD4 & M475), a similar product to the Alpine keyfob. If you have existing Clarion hardwired remotes and you're adding an RF unit this will require a Clarion "Y" cable.

Emagine,
Oops...typo. Yes, it works with the CMD5.
The RF receiver and RF remote are in the same package. The receiver fits in the palm of your hand and mounts with screwdown zip ties.
Contact Odin at infoATearmarkcaraudio.com for specifics.

RF receiver plugs right into the deck, transmitter is handheld or mountable, hit up David. I surf and wakeboard with mine, reception at 75' is spotty. It's also very convenient from the dock or beach.
