    RE: tower wiring

    Fitzee,

Do some searching on this topic, there are many posts out there with pic's and descriptions that should help you through the entire process.

Installed mine a couple years ago, spent more time planning and chasing parts then doing the actual install.

    Quick list of items:
    Place to mount amps
at tower: Speaker Wire, Wiremold, Grommets, Connecters
power to amps: Wire, wiremold, fuse(s), connectors

The list could go on depending on how elaborate or how much ca$h you want to spend.

    Good Luck

I like the wiring installation that Mikeski did on his boat. Perhaps he will chime in.

        RE: tower wiring

If the tower was not prewired you need to crawl under the lookout seat and dash area and drill out the fiberglass to access the internal tower leg. The tower mounting plate should already have a hole in it. You need to drill one hole above and below the tower joint for the tower speaker wire. 12ga wire is fine for the tower speakers. Which tower speakers? Four individuals or combo's like NVS or Wetsounds? Thereby requiring either two or four holes. What do you want to accomplish? The loudest boomiest boat out there or just a casual sit on the beach and enjoy without waking the neighbors?

Referring to AuMD's post, I ran my speaker wire up the port/passenger side, (the tower foot and hull were pre-drilled at the factory on my 206), then out lower - in upper. Up top I came out the back of the front bar with mine, some have fished the wire to the back bar which is quite a bit more involved.
