Adding 2 speakers to the stock system..

My SV211 came with the stock CMD4 head unit and 4 polk speakers. I decided to add 2 more polk speakers to the front of the boat. I am guessing that i will need to add an amp.. Can one of you expert stereo guys help me out? 4 chanel amp? How many watts? Do i hook 2 sets of speakers to the same terminals... Thanks in advance..

Did you get them installed? That fiberglass is tough stuff. I burned up a 5" hole saw, a couple rotozip blades, then broke out the sawzall with a skinny metal blade before I was able get my bow holes cut. Speaker wires were already there.

I run my 6 boat speakers off a single 4 channel amp. Four boat speakers in parallel (wired together) off the rear channels, bow speakers off the front channels. All crossovers set in highpass. I might have a spare APX-480 I can part with if you need an amp. Just shoot me a line.

I was already dreading cutting the holes... I was planning on using the roto zip.. But every time i use that thing i break a couple of bits. Thanks for the info on the wiring.
