Any remotes that give you full control of your ipod

Is there any remotes that give you full control of your ipod from remote stations that would work with the clarion or other head units that has full control remotes

I think what you are looking for is the Clarion EA1276 IPOD interface cable.
It connects your IPOD to the head unit then you can use the remotes that came
with the boat to work IPOD functions.

Alpine's new Marine series has a remote pod that you can stick on your transom that has a display and full control. They also have a floating fob type remote that controls basic functions. And floats ! I was thinking that would be a good toy for a surfer to have as you are close enough to operate it.
Pretty sure the Alpine setup will be my Super Air's 2009 present from me.

Yeah, this thing is the jam. I've been waiting on it for almost a year now. It must have had some bugs or production problems, heard it should be out by spring.

So it will operate your iPod AND Sirius radio AND regular stereo? Will it work with our Clarion setups? Can you replace the dash remote with this?

iPod, Sirius, CD, and all the rest. Alpine only is my guess. I cannot imagine they would make this cross platform compatible.
If I add this, I will be getting two. One for the transom, and one for the driver's seat. It works of the steering remote wire, and is RF.

Fusion

Have you looked at a Fusion Stereo?
www.fusionelectronics.com

Ipod dock, and wateproof, with remote that gives full control of the iPod.

Pretty trick, and control is instant, and allows for Sirius control as well.

RE: Fusion

Got some bad news on the Alpine MC10 remote.......I called Alpine yesterday for a release date and they said due to compatibility issues in programming & manufacturing, it won't be out until June at best. Of course, this happened right after i ordered a Alpine marine receiver.

They won't release anything that doesn't work perfectly, and their reputation proves it.
