    bazooka tubes?

    i have an old 90 bf nautique with a closed bow. i have some bazooka tubes from an old car. will they do ok under the bow? not wanting to put alot into it? though about some car speakers???

    They'll do "okay." I just replaced a 6.5" tube with a small truck box with an 8" sub in it and it sounds quite a bit better though. If you've got a pair of them, try firing them toward opposite sides of the bow. Might get some good reflection.

      Try them before permanent mounting.

      Use the hull or corners as reinforcing planes to help them load. But, keep the woofer/port 5 to 6 inches away from any adjacent or obstructing surface.

      The Bazooka tube is unique. The port tuning is high so don't narrow their bandwidth. Tune them high (between 120 and 140 crossover) and keep the gain low. This way they'll hang in there better at higher volumes.
