    WetSounds Guys, in here!

I'm choosing options on a new nautique for this summer and noticed that the tower speakers from the factory are $3,200 option(for four). I figured that the wetsounds speakers are cheaper and better, so my question is this:

If I want to buy 2 Pro 485's for the tower, should I have Nautique put their 500watt amp in with the wiring harness for I believe around $800, and just make the connection or would you advise another route to take???

for 1000 you can buy the Wetsounds Syn6 Amp.
    That's what you'd want for 2 Pro 485s.
    check out the specs
email Tim White from Wetsounds. He's really good.

$1700 for the pro 485's - $600 for a syn4 (would the syn 6 be a waste due to rating on the 4 having more RMS output at 4 ohms?)

or $3200 for the Factory system

IMO this is a no brainer question - you even have leftover for someone to do the install if you do not want to

Are the towers for nautiques pre tapped for speaker wiring from the factory, so I don't have to drill my new tower...?

I ordered my 08 boat "speaker tower ready" without having to buy the second amp. Just have your dealer order it that way.

Don't order the factory speakers, they are a waste of money. WS all the way

you can get a syn 6 and i imagine any of the other amps for less than they list on their site. i got my syn 6 from a local dealer for right under 800 i believe. the clarion amps are good, but if you can match your amps the sound will be better and the syn amps don't draw much power.

I am running a syn 4 on my pro 485's. That is what wetsounds recommended. The Syn 4 is listed on the wetsounds site at $599. Seems pretty cheap compared to the factory speaker cost.

                    BSBell,

The 09' Nautiques have switched from the Clarion to Polk Audio amplifiers.

The WetSounds SYN 4 would cost roughly the same when you consider the cost of DC cables, tower harness and installation. The SYN 4 provides a premium in power, especially in the two-ohm or bridged mode.
