    Sub install

I was wondering if any one has installed their sub in the kick panel of one of the newer model 210's (i.e. '07...). I wanted to do that but someone told me they didn't think there was enough room in the newer model?

    Thanks

    RE: Sub install

I have heard of people doing it in the 210s because they have more room but the 220s dont have as much room

      RE: Sub install

depending on how long your average driver's legs are you could build the box firing to the starboard and have it in front of the kick panel.

        Kinger,

We've installed sub enclosures under the driver's helm on 211s and 220s.

        Here's a look at a 211.

        http://www.earmarkcaraudio.com/insta...utique-211.asp

You'll need a gross internal volume of .5 cu. ft. for a Boston Acoustics G2, G3 or G5 10-inch sub. This will work either sealed or with a passive radiator. Using 3/4-inch thick stock, this converts to an external displacement of .8 cu. ft. which makes sizing easier. Keep in mind you'll need some space around the sub so that its output is not obstructed. A JL Audio W1, W3 or W6 will work in a .625 net, .67 gross or 1.0 cu. ft. external dimensions for sizing purposes.

There is hardly any room at all in the new 210's kick panel. I think there is only around 8 inches to surface mount any type of speaker. There is enough room behind it for a little sub like an 8", but to me its a waste of time..
