It's been years since I dabbled with car audio but I've decided to put a simple system together for my Sport Nautique. With space being a premium I don't want a large sub enclosure so I selected a Phoenix Gold Titanium 10 sub which can use either a .55ft3 sealed or 1.0ft3 vented enclousre. I'm going to fit the sub under the passenger seat but the little reading I've done suggests that a vented enclosure will provide better results - especially in an open space like a boat.
So, here's my question for the stereo guru's, would a sealed enclosure be suitable in a boat or am I better off figuring out a way to increase the box volume and placing it in such a position that I can still access the bow of teh boat from under the passenger seat. Thanks for the help.
