I am wanting to rewire my tower speakers but am not sure what guage wire to use. I want to run four wires up the tower since I have a four channel amp (JL 300/4). Also will I run into any problems fitting the wire through the existing holes on the tower? The factory only ran two cheap wires and split off of them for the four tower cans. How much wire do you guys think I will need and what brands of wire do you all recommend? Will this be as easy as hooking up to the existing wire and pulling the new wires through? This is on an 08 210 with titan tower. Thanks for the help.

Will I have to drill the holes in the tower any larger to get the new wire to fit?Current: 08 Super Air 210 Team

Depends on what kind of wire you use, but it shouldn't be a big deal to drill the holes slightly bigger. You will just have to buy bigger rubber grommets to fit the new sized hole. You can get them at Advance or Autozone.
What kind of sub do you have in there? Do you think it sounds better facing the amps? I like mine facing the flip up seat.

RE: Need help rewiring tower speakers
SuperSquirt, the sub is an Audio Bahn. It is one of the older ones when Audio Bahn made good equip. I have messed around with moving the box in various firing positions and that seamed to work best. The sub is actually in a ported box now and has a lot more vibration, but doesn't have that tight snap of a sealed enclosure.
I guess my concern with having to drill the holes bigger is that I can't have wire running through the hole and drill at the same time. Therefor it won't be as simple as taping new wire to the old and pulling through.Current: 08 Super Air 210 Team

RE: Need help rewiring tower speakers
I was going to say 14 myself and I think that bundled wire is a great way to go. Plus with that you more "push" the wire and just use the existing wire (which you attach to the bundled wire) as more of a guide to get it through, as opposed to pulling the wire through. It's a huge pain if the attachment point between old and new wire fails.
Drilling the holes means removing the wire, unless there's something I can't think of. If that's the case, get real familar with a long piece of string, your shop vac, and possibly your air compressor. Depending - you may also need a paper towel tube, a roll of painters tape, a grapefruit, and a twelve pack.Travis Fling
