    2009 Polk Audio System

I am in the process of purchasing a new boat. I have test driven the Super Air230 a few times and like the boat. The only thing of much concern to me is the stereo system. I don't know much about Polk Audio and can't find any reviews on the system. The stereo is very important to me because I am always listening to music. I am willing to spend the money to get a better system for the boat, I just don't know if it is necessary.

Does anyone have a 2009 w/ the Polk system? Do you like it?

I read another thread on here about the sub vibration with the placement of the factory sub and asked the dealer what they could do about it. Don't really have a solid answer though.

The Polk system overall is a good setup - The issue would be with the sub, whereas you would really benefit from having the sub in an enclosure.
I would get the tower pre-wired for speakers and put a set of NVS or Wetsounds up there - the cost of an amp and the tower speakers will be similar
if not a bit less costly than the Nautique Titan option.

IMO, I would have it done custom locally.

I found my factory installed Polk crossovers hanging from the speaker wires. I basically re-installed the whole system. I could have bought the deck and four speakers for about $400, I paid the factory $1000 for these items poorly installed.

I'm with Mikeski. I would get all the team goodies, but see if you can get the lowest stereo option available, take the same cash and have it done custom. You can get a pretty sick setup for 2500, including wetsounds, alpine deck, remotes, better amps, etc.
