    Removing Stock Stereo

Hi, I have a 2000 SN 196 and I am replacing the stereo. It has a stock Clarion, not sure what model, but it has a tape deck rather than CD. I got the black border off from around the radio and now there are two metal clips showing (assume they hold the black border on. I can reach behind the radio and do not feel anything holding the radio in, but something is. Has anyone replaced a stock and found how to remove it?

    Thanks ahead!

I gave up and hired someone. The guy said I would have never got it out without a special tool, the clips were bent on the side and were holding it in.

I just did a 98, There is a plug for the factory speaker wiring, It made rewiring a new unit a piece of cake.
