    RE: Mounting a Wetsounds WS-420

just zip tied mine to the steering rack for now.. It'll depend on how much I mess with it as to where it will be mounted for good. Only other ideas I've seen on here is in the glove box under the headunit or in the cubby hole by the drivers right leg.

I definetly want it within reach of the driver I like it under the right side but are people just making their own mounts?

Yeah.. they're building their own brackets.. Wouldn't take much though.. its a pretty light unit.. I can easily reach it from under the dash at the rack, but I have to lean over to see it.. Dealer says I won't use it that much.. If that's the case than i'll make it a permanent spot.. I personally think I'll be using it alot and I'll move it.. but why cut stuff up for nothing right?

Check out this thread. There are a few pics of two different installs. One under the dash and one in the glove box.

I mounted mine above the ballast gauges in an 08 210. Scroll down on this link:

Anyone know what gauge of wire to use for the power and ground on the WS-420, and what size in-line or in distribution block fuse (although I guess that really depends on the gauge of the wire)?

all of the wires on the 420 are very small, maybe 22 gauge, but i'm not 100% positive
