2001 Pro Air- Amp board mounting help needed

I am in the process of trying to mount two amps in my 2001 Pro Air Nautique. The amps are a Kicker ZX650.4 and Kicker ZX400.1

My boat is the same as any '99-'02 Pro Air or Air.

How have people been mounting the amps up? I was thinking about mounting the larger amp to the gunnel and the smaller amp to the inside walkway wall. I would like to make the installation as simple as possible and don't really have time to glue up "false walls" for the amps to mount to.

Any recommendations or pictures you may have of similar installs would be very helpful.

We just mounted a amp board w/o adding holes or gluing. Check 2/3 down the thread

Thanks, how were you guys able to mount the boards to the inner walkway wall?

bent brakets and attached them to cleat screw post that are on the inside of the gunnel

Yes, i see how you did the outer amp but how is the one on the inside walkway wall attached?

Well the inner one is in the factory position. It is just mounted directly onto the walkway wall, nothing fancy there. Just pull the walkway panels, mount amp and reinstall walkway panel.

I am doing the same project now. The inside wall vinyl pad mounting screws can be used, and if your mounting board is long enough, I think you can also use the bolts from the aluminum C channel (if you remove the C channel, which I did). You might be able to get away without using a mounting board there too, but I used one due to wicking action of carpet.

For the outside, I will either do what Liquid-diet did or tie in a long aluminum right angle bracket (near the long flat pieces of aluminum and steel at HD or Lowes), drill some holes in the ends, and mount to the front and rear tower bolts. More expensive and more complicated than the liquid-diet's setup, so only if his won't work for some reason.
