Wow, your first install!! Very very nice. I would have thought you have done a ton of installs as everything is clean and simple. Amp rack is a great idea.

Make sure to e mail me the finsihed pics.

And everyone else, send me your pics to twhite@wetsounds.com

we will get your boat up on the Nautique gallery.

there is no way i could make anything clean like that, but your install makes me want to rip out everything and have it done just like that.

        Thanks for the compliments.

And HUGE props to Tim and crew at Wetsounds. I had a lot of questions and always got quick and detailed responses whether I contacted them by email or phone.

Tim--I'll take some better photos once I finish with the tower speakers and send them to you.

:-) I'm rethinking how I have it hinged. Right now there are two hinges on the left and two supports on the right. I didn't attach the rack to the fiberglass panel at the walkthru (on the right) because I was afraid of the potential for cracks developing down the road. Right now, dropping the amp rack requires requires a bit of work--I have to pull the sub out (which is attached to the floor), then take out six screws holding the supports in place on the right. I also don't like how I made the support post follow the angle of the passenger walk through--it looks a bit off because it is not vertical (e.g. in line with the side of the sub)...instead it angles in line with the inside of the walkthrough.

i was picturing it sliding towards the stern a little and then angling down exposing the whole amp, while the sub is still there, etc. basically an amp droor that tilts down.
