I have a 95 sport and want to upgrade speakers and add an amp. I don't want any huge subs or lots of power, just good quality sound. I would like to keep the same size speakers to keep the install simple. What should I get??

Can you be a little more specific on a budget you are looking at spending? I think that is the best place for you to start. What size speakers are in your boat currently? I would think your best option as far as amps is going to be a multi-channel, like a 5-channel that can power all of your in boat speakers as well as a sub. As far as speakers the polk db series is very reasonably priced, but there are a myriad of solutions out there.Comment

I think the speakers are 6.5", but not sure. I have never done a speaker/amp upgrade. I guess I should ask what size amp and what wattage/rating of speakers to go with to get the overall best quality sound. I want good a quality product, but don't want to spend more money than I have to. Middle grade equipment will suit my needs just fine.Comment
