I'm pretty dissapointed with the factory polk speakers especially the four on the tower. I'm guessing they are the same as the interior. I would like to just upgrade the speakers in the factory metal cans because i like the looks alot better but i dont know if i would gain the sound im looking for back to the rider without going with all new wet sounds. What are the quality of the factory amps? And if chose to replace cans what type/how many could i add without adding wire? Or is the factory wiring for the four small 6.5" too small for the bigger wet sounds? Im basically very un-educated when it comes to speakers. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

RE: 2006 220 Team Dissapointed Stock Speakers
You can change the speakers in the cans as ma y times as you would like but if you use "car" speakers you will end up dissapointed every time.
The wiring to the tower is fine for running wetsounds or in my case the NVS Entity's. You most likely have a clarion 280 pushing the tower - the best use for it would be to
move the two bow speakers over to it after replacing the tower speakers. You will need a new larger amp to push Wetsounds.
Earmark has a recent post where they offered to replace the tower speakers in the factory cans with HLCD try to contact them as it may be an option.2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

Brandon,
Spoke to this in the iPod thread. Email me at info@earmarkcaraudio.com. I'll walk you through some options. With a little reworking, everything in the boat is salvageable and can actually be made to sound very good. Inevitably the tower portion requires an investment.
