I'm looking to get a pair of wetsound speakers. I know the price difference is only a 150 dollars but besides the size of the 60's vs 80s what is the main differences? I just want a great speaker that the rider can hear loud and clear. I'm not too concerned about the bass from these because I already have a sub in the boat. Which would be best suited for me if all I need them to do is scream?

RE: Wetsounds Pro 60
I just installed a set of Pro 80's and have not had a chance to hear them behind the boat on the water. Listening to them in the drive way, they are extremely loud and very clear with no distortion at all. I have an Alpine PDX 4.100 amp powering the speakers. They are an amazing speaker.

RE: Wetsounds Pro 60
If you're running one pair only then definitely run with the 80s.
They're louder and they have more midbass (not sub bass). You can't beat the extra surface area. One pair of 80s can be very impressive with the right amplifier.

RE: Wetsounds Pro 60
I have the same issue. I compared the two in my driveway...not the best comparison, but better than nothing. In terms of how they sound, there is very little difference. But the P80s can definitely get louder. I'm thinking I'll stick with the P80s because they match the look of the MB8s (also on my tower) and they can get a little louder.
If you decide to go for P60s, shoot me a PM...I have a brand new pair to sell. So, the price difference between the 80s and 60s might be more than you're thinking.Previous boats:
