Alpine MC10 Remote and IDA-X100M

Hello,

I have a Clarion Stock system in my 230 SAN 2008. Hate the Clarion and the IPOD interface and am thinking of switching to this unit. For those of you who have been early adopters:

1) The MC10 Remote: Is it the same size as the stock Clarion remote next to the steering wheel? What is it's diameter if you don't know if it is the same size?

2) The Clarion is a double DIN (I think). What trim panel did you use to downsize to single DIN?

3) How happy are you with the unit?

1) The MC10 is the same size as the previous Clarions.

2) There are tons of 2DIN kits out there, i used a 88 Ford Mustang kit that had room for a 1/2 DIN

3) If i showed you my closet full of factory boxes, you would think i robbed Alpine's delivery truck.


Keep in mind if you switch the head unit for a single-din, you will have to take a Dremmel to cut out room for a double din. PM me and i can walk you through more....
