Had Speakers, Subwoofer and Amp stolen

I have an 2008 211, over the winter, I had someone steal my Clarion amp, Subwoofer amd Polk Momo Speakers while it was in dry dock. All this was factory stuff and now I need to replace it. I am not oppoosed to going back with what the factory had in it, but are there any better alternatives?

Here is a list of of what is missing:

(4) Polk Momo 651 speakers
(1) Calrion APX 480M Amp
(1) Polk Momo MM2104 sub woofer

Any help would be appreciated.

That really sucks. I am really sorry to hear that. I just do not understand why people go to such lengths to destroy something that does not belong to them. I hope they get caught and get what they got coming to them. A while ago, the Mayor of Las Vegas made a comment about taggers here in Las Vegas. He had said that if they get caught tagging, they should have their thumbs taken off so they can not hold spray cans in their hands anymore. Well it was just a comment he made. It went national news. Yes it is bad, but I agree. What gives them the rite to deface property or belongings that does not belong to them.
Sorry for the long response. I just really hate people that touch things that do not belong to them.

It really makes me angry. The only positive to this, is they didn't screw-up the boat when they were stealing everything.

Any upgrade suggestions?

There are several way to do this. I do not have a nautique yet. But if I did, I would use the Polk Audio MM651 in the cabin, a Boston Acoustic G3 subwoofer, Wetsounds on the Tower, and JL Audio Amps to run everything. This is just personal preference. I am sure there are member here that have different set-ups and are very happy with them.

I think those are good reco's Tazz. I don't see any problem's there. The Polk Sub is great, too. JL amps are wonderful and lots of people swear by them. Obviously everyone goo goo gah gahs over the wetsounds, and with good reason. I, personally, think a really nice in-betweener for the tower are the kicker KMT6's. I think they're better than the stock, but not wetsounds. Great price, though!!!

That sucks but it's a great excuse to upgrade. I agree with Tazz and Travis.

Here is my 211 recipe:

6 - Polk MMC651 (4 boat speakers to rear amp channel, 2 bow speakers to front amp channel) or MM651 (wired series to a bridged 4 channel) depending on budget
2 - Wetsounds Pro-485 on the tower (or Kicker KMT6 if budget is tight)
1 - Boston SPG555 under the passenger compartment (or in front of the driver if the boat is an SE, or build a rear seat sub like mine)

Power the boat speakers with a decent 4 channel amp, the APX 480M is fine but better amps are available from JL, Wetsounds, Alpine, Kicker, etc.

Power the tower speakers with the Wetsounds 4 channel or Kicker 850 depending on speaker choice

Power the sub off a nice class D amp in the 1000 watt range (500 watts minimum)

ARC and Zapco amps are nice but I think they are not worth the cost for use in boats. Try to run Class H or T or D amps to help out your boat electrical system.

Actually I currently have the system that i described above. The only difference is that I have the Kicker MX700.5 and a Kicker MX 350.4. The MX 700.5 run my six cabin speakers and the sub. The MX 350.4 run the 4 MB Quart Tower speakers. The system and sound is amazing. I get several comments on the clarity of the system especially at 70' back.

Great advice! I have the Kicker 900.4 running the Kicker KMT6's on the tower and four Polk DB651 interior speakers. I have a pioneer 720w running my sub, with an eclipse headunit (CD3000) and I love the sound. It's a poor man's system, but sounds amazing, especially for the cost.
