Well I'm currently looking at improving the stereo install on my 230 Team and was really looking at all the wiring last night. I have a wetsounds syn 4 installed by the dealer for the pair of 485's, I'm removing the stock amp to install a jl hmd 600/4 to power all the interior speakers and Im going to install a JL mhd 750/1 to power a JL 12w7 in a sealed box (need to build the box). I figure that I will run new 0 gauge wire from the battery for power and ground to the passanger department and then split to 4 gauge for the amps. I'm trying to decide if I should rewire all the speakers and what I should do with the factory sub. I'm aslo trying to find a builded that can build me a nice enclosure with lexan and led's for the sub for the passinger area. I have to work around the garbage can that my wife had to have!

RE: 2009 230 Team Stereo Install
You may want to rethink the JL 12 with that amp - the JL is power hungry and even at 1000 watts it gets "so so" performance - depending on the situation.
I have yet to read where anyone is totally happy with their JL 12w running off of 750watts.2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

i was running about 900 watts on the jl 12w7 and i melted it so if your going to run it for a long time just dont put full power to it i turn down my amp so i wouldnt melt the new one i put in there im running a boston acoustic gt-28 on it i was thinking about adding a 2nd w7 and use the jl hd 750/1 if you use that amp on the w7 let me know how it works heres a link to my boat on what they done with my w7 http://earmarkcaraudio.com/install_superAirNautique.asp

RE: 2009 230 Team Stereo Install
I agree - I have a Kicker ZX750.1 which is benched tested at over 900+ watts running my JL12W7 and it begs for more. I could upgrade my amp to a Kicker ZX1000.1 but I've decided to part with the sub and possibly the amplifier. The subwoofer is GREAT don't get me wrong but it's a beast and wants at least a stable 1000 watts or more. I'll be putting it up for sale shortly if you're still interested!
