    KnuKonceptz Gone???

    so i have two questions. 1. is KnuKonceptz still in buisness??? and on the thread for the 1995 super sport install with the stand offs for an amp rack, is the the black stuff ion that wall a sound deadening material?? and is it gonna make a huge diff if i remove some? thanks

      I think the black material you are referring to is a double sided foam tape-it might provide some sound deadening, but minimal if any. I completely removed mine and have noticed no difference whatesoever. I had to remove it in order to mount my amp boards directly to the sides. When you recarpet you can use the same material, but I am using a 3M roll-on adhesive instead.

      I also received some parts from knukonceptz last week - with their prices I dont think they are going out of business anytime soon. They are hard to get ahold of over the phone, but try sending them an email.

          The black material your referring to is a sound deadening material. I used the same stand offs as wake_fun and just cut holes in the black material where the stand offs were and re-glued it in place.

          If your gluing wood back into that area to mount the amps, the wood will act as your sound deadening and you wouldn't need to mess with the black stuff in my opinion.

            Where do you buy the standoffs from? I know I saw Wake_Fun's (I think?) post from the original install a while back, but I can't seem to find it when I search.
