    are my speakers blown?

    actually a buddies tower speakers. got em in 05. mb quartz. they worked when i installed the new amp, but as soon as we got on the water the 1st time. they basically sound distorted but you can kinda hear music w/ the gain all the way down. the wiring from the amp to the tower is the original and at the speakers it's very corroded cheap wire. is there a way to test them or are they just straight donezo?

    I would run a brand new wire from the speaker to the amp, without fishing it through the tower, and see if that helps. If it's the wire, then phish a new one through.
