2009 210 tower speakers go out at high volumes

i have a brand new 210 and the tower speakers go out when the volume is up. i havent touched the amp settings. when the tower speakers go out the boat speakers stay on. are the amp gains too high?? i saw there is a recall for the amps on this boat , but my hull # wasnt one of the ones under recall.

i dont turn it up past 25 on the stereo.....is this too loud for factory settings?

How many individual speakers on the tower, 2 or 4?

    Do they look like this?

        Airhuck,

If the factory wired two pair of 2.7 ohm coaxials in parallel, for a net 1.35 ohms, then your amplifier will go into protection.

Check the load with a multimeter. But keep in mind that the DCR will measure a little lower than the AC impedance, which is frequency dependent and varies.

A rewire may be in order.

do they come wired like that from the factory? its hard to see how they are wired b/c everything is in the tower.

at a glance, it looks like the tower speakers are wired 2 wires coming out of the same channel on the amp twice. is this wrong?
