My tower speakers still play but they are less than half as loud as they used to be. Could my amp be toast, I have never burnt one before so I don't know what happens when you burn one.

For some reason the amp has gone into protection mode, the lite has changed from green to red. I checked the fuses and they are good. The speakers still sound clear just not load at all.Life is Short, Live it!

I had the same problem. It would click off and go from green to red and stay off for a while. Mine was from overheating. We installed a fan on it and it works great now and that does not happen anymore.- - - _______

Fatboy,
Have you checked your ground.??? If the ground is loose or a poor connection, most amps will go into protection mode.
Don't know what you're using for a ground point for your amp/s, but a generally accepted rule of thumb is that the ground needs to be the same size as the power.
Andrew.

Hey guys, I found out it is not the amp. It is the head unit, the low level output is fried.Life is Short, Live it!

For those putting fans on your amps.
Questions:
Where are/is your amp located?
What fan/s are you using?
How are you getting air flow to the area?
Reason I ask is that I have an airflow issue as well with my 210. I have an amp mounted upside down under the observer's seat and it'll cut out and go into protection mode after running it pretty hard. Thought about just putting a computer fan someplace to blow air on the amp but, there really isn't any air flow in that area.
Also, thought about cutting the plastic protector off the horn plate to get some air in the area.
Any suggestions/ideas?
Chris
