Right, but that is the original FCT tower, not the new curved FCT3. The boards definitely sit farther back. They already kind of rub against the stock cans.

I think it would be great if you could draw a schematic and post it so dealers, CC, and owners of 2009 boats could see how to do it correctly. As I understand the problems are 1. Power wire too small, 2. Speaker load below amps impedence rating. Maybe you could sell a "hop-up" kit with the wiring and an additional amp to get these boats audio systems to where they should have been when they left the factory?

MikeSki, I'll draw a schematic first of the week. But there's a complication.
CC intended for the special black 4 ohm marine version to be used throughout the boat. However, the tower speakers could be coming from Roswell, the producers of the tower pods, resulting in an alternate source and thus a different speaker that appears identical to the in-boats. Also, we don't know that product models haven't changed in the manufacturing pipeline as there is an OEM marine distributor between Polk Audio and CC. So, the bottom line is, with every individual boat, the impedance of both the tower speakers and in-boat speakers must be independently verified.
Again, the DCR measures a bit lower than the actual impedance. 2.7 ohms and 4 ohm speakers will require separate wiring prescriptions.

just dropped my 09 210 off at the stereo shop. they said the tower speakers are clipping b/c the amp isnt big enough to push all 4 tower speakers in a bridged mode. they rewired the amp to all 4 channels and said it should not clip anymore.

Here's a schematic based on our exposure to a few '09s. Systems may vary so each boat has to be checked out first.
Here are a few ideas on upgrades to get more power, especially to the tower speakers where its needed most.
If you have 2.7 ohm tower speakers then I would use one four-channel amplifier bridged into two channels to run the four tower speakers with each pair run in series for a 5.4 ohm load. Add a small two-channel amplifier to drive the bow speakers. You could run the bow speakers with the built in front channels of the CD player but I don't recommend it since the bow speakers would clip much earlier and force you into gaining all the amplifier inputs higher than is optimum in order to maintain a low noise floor. The other reason not to do this is that 2.7 ohms is too low for the CD player's internal chip amplifier resulting in instability and really hot operation. 4 ohms is minimum for a source unit.
Another option is to run a pair of amplifier channels into each pair (3) of in-boat coaxials. Add a much larger two-channel amplifier for 4-ohm tower speakers or a much larger four-channel amplifier bridged into seriesed 2.7 ohm tower speakers.

The stereo four-channel 2.7 ohm load and the bridged two-channel 5.4 ohm load would be the same power. But the bridged/series circuit would keep you from having to run another four conductors up the tower.

Just one more time..........on my 08' 230 which tower speakers cut out at high volume level.....if I add an amp and hook up just the tower speakers to it, all should be fine???
Clarion amp for the bow
Large Amp for the cabin
Small Amp for the Sub
New Amp for the tower
This look right?

That makes sense provided you've correctly diagnosed that your previous tower amplifier was cutting out due to its limited thermal capacity. If your tower speaker(s) are in the early stage of a burnt voice coil, or you have limited voltage supply or another unresolved problem then you'll be carrying the old issue forward with new equipment.
