So I would run one set of wires from + on channel 1 and - on channnel 2 which are bridged too one set of speakers wired in series, and + on channel 3 and - on channel 4 to the other set of speakers in series. Will I have to turn the gain down a little so I don't overpower the speakers?

You are correct, and then you'll take a wire from the empty speaker terminals and connect them together. so speaker 1 neg to speaker 2 pos, speaker 3 neg to speaker 4 pos. speaker 1 pos goes to channel 1 pos, speaker two neg to channel two neg, channel three pos to speaker three pos and channel four neg to speaker 4 neg. Mike is right, otherwise you're basically running redundant wires.
Start with your gains down around 10% and turn them up until you hear clipping, and then back them off a hair.

Like I said in my first post, the series nets an easier load for the amp to handle. Series plus bridged gets you good power and enough resistance.

After spending most of the weekend stuffed under the observer's seat and down under by the drivers kickplate my system is installed! Sounds awesome! Thanks again!

Gee! I guess you guys were right. After a few adjustments to speaker angle to cover the sound outside the wake, I have everyone on our lake stopping by and asking who installed the sound system.
