'82 Ski Nautique steroe installation questions

Ok, I am very new at this kind of stuff, so bear with me. I want to put a cd player in my Nautique. I know the mounting logistics of it all, but I don't know how to wire it all in i.e. connect directly to the battery or if there is another way to do it. Also, will I need a dual battery setup or a high output alternator? I have an amp and everything, but I am just wondering how to get started. Thanks in advance-

Options are numerous here. If you wire it to the battery remember to shut it off when you leave the boat or disconnect the constant power(head unit won't remember anything, i.e. preset stations). You can run it through an ACC switch at the control console. Wire your power, what kind of amp do you have? do you have more than one amp? do you want to slam while the boat is not running? what kind of head unit is it? give us some more info.
    I don\'t care.

yeah, a run down of everything would really help.

oops, forgot i posted here. I don't have a cd player yet, i was going to ask which kind is recommended and if i really need a marine cd player. personally id rather invest in a clarion or something along those lines. I have a Pioneer 210 watt amp (i think it is, I can't remember and I don't have it near me at the moment) that is 2 channel. I'd kinda like to have it playing when the boat isnt running. I also have a couple of 6x9 speakers and a pair of 12'' subs.
