Factory Clairon Amp and Wetsounds Q

I just bought a pair of Pro80's. Will the factory Clairon 4 channel amp have enough power for them bridged to two channels??? I only plan on using it for the time being but wanted to make sure it was ok. Thanks!

If you are using the Clarion 480 - I believe it is rated at 230 watts rms (x2 @ 4 ohms) bridged
The pro80's are 200 watts rms at 4 ohms - so you should be fine

Actually that's not a bad combination. I like the Clarion 480's. I use two of them in two of my vehicles. All of my vehicles get left over boat stereo stuff, LOL.

I used my left over Clarion 480 to drive my Pro-80s while my Arc Audio Amp was in the shop. The amp drove those speakers reasonably well, but when you started to crank it up the sound was a bit harsh. The Pro-80s are on the bright side to begin with and the Clarion amp seemed to emphasize the brightness much more than the Arc Audio. At lower (e.g. reasonable for most folks) volume levels, the amp did fine.
