Speaker L.E.D.'s

My buddy designed and built these to fit JL Audio speakers and we are trying to gauge the level of interest for other speakers (primarily Polk) With the production level were at right now these run 100 bucks a pair (two speakers worth)

So, my question is would anyone be interested in these for Polk speakers based on the current pricing?

You realize that he's just talking about the LED ring around the speaker.

$100 is too much for a pair of 6.5" rings IMO, but if the guys above are willing to pay that much, then go for it.

Need to know what brand speakers you run as these are cut and milled. The rings will look like this preinstallation and bolt directly behind the speakers themselves so no need for drilling.

Here is one more shot of the ring. They use the same hole pattern as the speakers so that they bolt directly behind the speaker for easy installation or removal without damaging anything.

That's nice, but we've been making these rings for the identical price and ours have 30 LED's versus the 6, so it's a continuous light without any gaps.

Our continuous flexible LED strip has a single positive & negative connection, which makes for a very clean installation.

Plus, we already make rings for just about every speaker out there and custom build light rings for special applications.

Looks like a POS to me , to much wire clutter , try using strips that lay in a channel milled into the plexi.

@Snowboardcorey, Good Idea. I actually like the idea of less leds, rather than a continuois glow. It makes more of a 'star pattern' look Keep at it, refine your idea and use it to make your product better. I think it would be better to eliminate the wiring clutter. Overall, my opinion, good start, keep at it. Competition is a good thing, it will only make the prices come down, and the boats look better.

Dealing with earmark is the best. Very nice people and loaded with tons of information. I ordered my LED rings from him and have been very happy with them since. When I get my new Nautique, and decide what tower speakers I want, I will give them a call again for more rings and stereo install help. David thanks for being you.

Seriously, no one could pm the guy any of this? Not that I really intended on doing any business with Earmark anyway, but you definitely didn't earn any brownie points here... At least not as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not too concerned about it. This is the way I view it... On my part, an alternative product was pointed out in a direct manner with its own benefits and advantages and without making impolite remarks.

If another product has value it will be recognized regardless of what anybody says. But if the product isn't competitive then the same holds true. Competition is still alive and well and people are capable of making up their own minds.

I don't argue with any of that, but a bit of modesty goes a long way in the eyes of a consumer. I think it is pretty obvious that your product is superior so let it sell itself! To come in and bash a guys thread about him and his friend that are building a few l.e.d. rings out of their garage is pretty childish. If your product really is that great then another member will surely chime in and do the work for you! It's not like earmark is a secret on this site with the banners flashing every where...... I honestly do not care whether or not you sell anything, but if you are going to sponsor a site that I'm a member of, then I would prefer that you represent it with a bit of tact. I would highly imagine that I'm not the only one who feels this way and a business savvy fella such as yourself should know that one bit of bad representation can have a drastic effect on next years numbers.....
