I don't blame David one bit. If I was selling a superior product I would have chimed in too. David has been a huge asset to this site. Don't bash him because he point out he sells a better product.

Let me check - yep, it's winterize time and the bah humbugs are out in force.

Perhaps a new thread versus insertion on an existing sales thread could have been more professional

        Andrew,

First, lets represent the original post for what it truely is which is a slightly disguised advertisement for waterskis.com. They sell these light rings on their site and have similar advertisements posted on other wakeboard forums.

And that's perfectly okay. They did nothing wrong. I don't expect any special courtesy or exclusivity because I'm a sponsor but I do have the reciprocal right to openly compete. Again, I'm comfortable with my actions and approach. The only thing I see that's the least bit unusual is an inordinate sensitivity to undeserving stimulas.

One of my favorite aspects of this particular forum is that it has been very civil and non political. Personally, I don't to do anything that would change that.

          My thoughts exactly!

However, I was not aware that this was an existing company making an attempt to promote a new product. I was under the impression that this was just two guys offering to build rings for a few people and pocket some coin for their trouble.

If this is indeed the case, then I'd like to apologize to David and Earmark for my lack of knowledge on the topic!

and another one - illegal blues...

Mine are led tape laid into a CNC machined plex spacer sanwiched under a custom chromed CNC aluminum faceplate. I have about $500 in machine work into mine. It's a bit extreme but they look like pieces of art in person. I am quite proud of the result.
