    2002 SAN Head Unit Bezel

So I just bought a Sony M60UI head unit for my 2002 SAN. It's a single-DIN unit and the opening that my XMD1 previously occupied is about a half-inch larger (vertically) than the standard 2" DIN opening.

For those who have replaced their head units with a single-DIN unit, how did you cover the hole? Does anyone make an adapter plate to do this?

If you made your own, what did you make it out of? Aluminum? ABS? Wood?

Would love to see pics posted on this if anyone has them...thanks a bunch.

Clarion makes an adapter plate will convert it to a single din unit. I dont know the part number but my dealer keeps them instock for this reason.

^^^ Brad, thanks for the suggestion (again). I remember you mentioned that on WW. I've looked almost everywhere online but haven't been able to track one down. I guess it's off to the local CC dealer I go.

We custom make these from black ABS if Clarion is no longer offering their adapter plate. We radius, roundover, texture and dye them to appear like they're vinyl wrapped. It's labor intensive and a little pricey.

An alternative would be a universal pre-fabbed ABS plate on our online store for $4.99 plus freight. The SKU number is 89300750. It's also easy to modify if need be.

Sorry I did not realize that was you. I am positive that you can still get them. If you still have trouble locating one call Matt at 903-509-1ski and he can ship you one. They have multiple on the shelf.
