          Wik,
I am installing 3 wetsounds amps:
          Syn 1 for sub
          Syn 2 for tower
          Syn 4 for cabin
Cabin speakers are remaining the factory polks
Towers are 4 7.7 Bullet HLCD speakers from EARMARK MARINE
Sub is a Treo SSI 12 that i am putting in a sealed box. Factory sub will be dead and there for cosmetics.
Also installing a WS420 on the throttle panel.

I am doing a total overhaul including all new stinger wires, rca's, distro blocks and etc...

I am also going to look into getting Earmark to cut some vents into my cooler door panels, David with earmark is a very helpful guy and a great forum sponsor. Their customer service is great! We are truly lucky to have him giving input on our forum.

More pics to come!! Pulling new tower speaker wire this weekend and installing the 420 hopefully.

              new update.
I have rewired the tower with 12 gauge stinger pro wire. kind of a pain in the butt. if anyone does this on the FCT3 let me know i learned some lessons on mine. I have roughed all speaker wires for the cabin with stinger hpm 14 gauge and heat shrink terminals. Also roughed the drivers helm with power and rca's for the ws-420.

Probably the bigger part i have done is constructed the amp rack. it is a 3/4 inch piece of birch that has been resined and carpeted. this was an interesting fabrication for me and took some thought. I saw a post on ww where the amps were mounted on 1/2" spacers. I copied that idea for two reasons 1. to pull wire under amps to look clean and 2. to hopefully help in cooling the amps in this 100 degree southern heat.

I am looking to change out my battery setup to two optima blue tops, i think this is a decent idea as i can take the things back to sams within two years and walk out with two new ones. I will be hooking a guest charger up to them. I know ther has been debate about the optima batteries but the sam;s warranty seems easier than most.

I hope this thread can help out other 210 owners as this is the first 09 build i have seen besides some of david at earmarks. and by the way once again Earmark is awesome, for advice and parts.

Here are some pics of the amp rack as i have completed it but not installed it.

Amps look nice but I would have changed the orientation so they vent more effectively. Heat rises, I have not seen the guts inside the WS amps but I would guess the ICs on the bottom are heating the ICs up on the top. You would likely get better cooling if they were oriented with the speaker terminals on the top?

Hey guys. Thanks for the props.

                    gsh762,Amp board looks awesome.

Mikeski, he has them correct. The SYN amps use a very unique heat sink design. The sink is the bottom of the amp. Bottom is solid aluminum with fins facing up. The top stainless steel shroud is a cover. It will always be cool to the touch no matter how hard you pound on them. There is a center mounted fan that pulls air in through the vents on the top shroud across the output devices and forces it down the center into the bottom heat sink with the fins facing up. In this design, you can mount the amp any orientation with horizontal or vertical. Most marine amps are horizontal like this so that is how we see most of the installs. The amps are also computer controlled. So they moitor their own temps and kick the fan on when they need it. So the fan is not always on. This gives the fan assembly longer life.

Another cool thing about the stainless shroud. It is removable. So if you set up it already wired with power on one side etc..You can mount the amp how you want and just flip the shroud around so the logo is correct. Or you can custom paint the amps easily etc..

                      Update

I wanted to update this thread as I have made some progress on the stereo. A few loose ends to tie up.
The sub turned out excellent and sounds great over a wide variety of music. I need a vent though. The Bullet tower speakers are going to rock! Have not had a chance to tune them in an outdoor enviroment. The Wetsounds amps work great in combination with the 420. I am running all sound through the auxiliry input on the 420. I had to custom make a microphone and ipod jack that you can see. Xrichard shared hais experience with me on that!

I have the stock deck. It is hardly used as all signal comes from the WS 420.

How did you attach your amp rack to the hull, or what are you doing to secure it?

it is screwed in to the factory raised inner hull that the stock amp rack was mounted to. Three Inch Stainless screws (4)
