    03 SANTE speaker upgrade ?'s

I have a few questions about a project I am about to start. Right now my boat is pretty much stock. I have the team upgrade, the stock tower speakers and the stock tower speaker amp...i think it is only like a 125w by 2 channel....maybe anyone know?

Anyways this is what I have sitting around and here are my questions:

    1. Should I run new speaker wire? I am not sure how they did it stock but it looks kind of small and I am just not sure how it is all ran.

    2. Has anyone ever moved the stock drivers side speaker? Since it is on that kick panel by your feet would moving it out do any good? If so how did you do it.

    3. Has anyone changed the amp on the tower to something else? Right now it has plenty of power but last summer it kept on acting weird and cutting out...amp might be dying or I have another issue.

This is the equipment I have right now.

    Stock clarion 125 watt??
    Kicker 300.4
    JL M6450
4 Polk DB651 (New on the way)
    12in sub
    stock interior speakers
    stock tower defcon III's

I was thinking of running the 4 rear speakers off the JL, and then my 12 in sub off the last channel. I would leave the front speakers on the head unit b/c I dont really care about the front...Then should I change out the tower speaker amp to the kicker? or leave the clarion on it? Was going to try and limit my amps as much as possible due to room and power. All this is running off the 2 factory batteries.

Also while i am at it, has anyone ever moved the factory batter off the nose of the boat to the rear driver side storage area?

Thanks sorry for such the long post and 1000 questions.

RE: 03 SANTE speaker upgrade ?

When I installed my stereo, I did not put the driver's side front speaker in that front kick panel. I used a hole saw to core a hole in the panel behind the throttle lever. I had to move the aux power plug down, but the 6.5" speaker fit fine up there. It's a bit blocked by the seat, but is at about the same location and height as the passenger front coaming pad speaker and it does sound better than with it in the kick panel. There's really nothing behind that armrest panel but a bit of fiberglass overhang from the deck.
