Couple questions about LED's, Speaker Ring Lights....

Hey guys, I see that several of you are running LED's in your boat. This is something I'm really interested in doing but am a little hesitant since I don't know how to run the wiring. Firstly, for the speaker ring LED's, how did you run the wiring? Those of you that have done it, the install looks super clean, but I know that from each ring two wires emerge. How did you hide them? I don't imagine you ran the wires internally into the speaker and I definitely don't see any wires on the external portion of the speakers.

Also, for those of you running several LED's throughout the boat, how did you go about wiring them. Did you run each wire to a terminal bus bar and then run a single wire from that to the battery? I really want to do a couple LED's spread throughout the boat, as well as the under swimdeck ones, and lastly the speaker rings. They look great.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

      David,
I hate to be honest but I own a pair of NVS Prodigy speakers mounted to my tower. I've spoken to Duane and unfortunately he doesn't carry anything that fits his speakers. Do you make anything that will fit?

        flaudia402,

No big deal. We can do light rings for the outside 10-inch drivers plus the center horns. We have the templates already.

Email Odin at info@earmarkcaraudio.com with your color preference plus the specifics, horns or not, and he'll provide pricing. We've also got disconnects and/or grommets for the fiberglass housings.

BTW, even though we have 800 or so items on our online store its impossible to have all of our offerings displayed. So, don't hesitate to ask.

I bought my rings from Earmark. Let me just say this, you will not go wrong. Please do not bash me just yet. This is not a Nautique. Its a Moomba. Yes I will be selling it to get my 230. Hopefully this summer. Come on Economy. I removed all the speakers and ran all the wires behind the carpet. I also ran all the wire to a fuse block under the dash. From there, I used switches to operate the lights.

Sorry Tazz but I have to do it!

Nice touch with the addition of the lighter fluid - something all Moomba owners should keep handy.

Have you been in a 230? If not wait till you see and feel the difference in construction/build/workmanship.

              Tazz,

Arson and insurance fraud isn't the way to fund that new Nautique. Don't do it man.

I have test drove an awesome 230 in Arizona last year. As a matter of fact, I first saw the boat at the Red Bull Wake Lab competition. My jaw dropped and I was in love. I have not looked at another boat ever since. I just need to economy to get better before I pull the trigger. Can't really light the boat on fire. It is sitting in the garage. I will loose the house also. That might not be a bad idea. get rid of this crappy mortgage that we got screwed on. You guys may hae a great idea. LOL it was from our last camping trip out at the lake.

To Jimmy the LED light expert.
Why are the Wetsounds light ring LEDs pointing to the outside?
How many LEDs per foot are on those light rings?

To Jimmy the LED light expert.
Which website did you steal the left hand photo from, specifically the picture of the ring without a light strip. And are you representing those rings as your own?
Before you reply I think everyone on this forum already knows where that photo originated?

                          Response about led rings

                          Dear David,

Yes, the left picture is not ours, it is sent from my customer from USA, we produce bulk order for him accordingly to the picture and size he provided, I think it is only one picture, since his camera is good and have took good quality picture, so I borrow from him to show you guys here, absolutely, the quality of the acrylic rings we produced are also very good shinning and polished, I have attached another one picture of our acrylic rings here again which took from our warehouse, that is the order accessories we manufactured for our customer.

I know, the led strips faced into acrylic rings for Wetsounds, the picture only to show that we can do these simple construction.
What I have showed here are only accessories of led rings, not the complete product, (the red light led rings are complete products) since if I do that, the administrator will think me as a spammer and will remove my post, I have already had this bad experience, so I have changed the way to talk with you here.

                              Jimmy-magicsky,
The picture in question was taken from our website (we took this photo of our own LED products) and was forwarded to you by your customer. So that is actually an Earmark product.
All the rings and their dimensions are a duplicate of our rings as this information was also taken from our site. Its easy to copy products without fully understanding the application which is why the LED strips are glued to the Wetsounds ring in reverse.
I've seen the assertion in your documentation that your light rings have 32 LEDs per foot and that is simply untrue. They have exactly 3 LEDs per every 2-inch segment which is 18 LEDs per foot. Another misrepresentation.
If you have a state side dealer/customer who is already importing your products, then why are you soliciting end user consumers directly on forums and circumventing your wholesale customer? Funny way of supporting a wholesale customer who spent $9K with you.

                              David
